Spurs 2 v 1 Chelsea. Carling Cup Final

What a day. And what a great game to round it off. Not the stagnant affair that so many finals are. From the opening seconds we wanted the game more than Chelsea. We didnt allow them to play, Lampard was kept quiet and Joe Cole was kept warm on the bench.

Ramos (All bow) organised and orchestrated the team from the sideline. And what a job he did. We out fought and out thought Chelsea in just about every department..

Giving away free kicks in front of goal is going to catch you out eventually and so it turned out when Zok fouled Drogba and against the run of play he scored. Would this revive Chelsea? No it didnt. You could feel the crowd willing Spurs to score. Berbatove converts a certain penalty and mayhem breaks out!

Mind you, that was nothing compared to when Woody, who had an amazing game alongside The King, scored in extra time. The celebration at full time was another explosion of joy.

The boys played their heart out and the ridiculous notion that Chelsea didnt want to win was all too evident at the end with thier players distraught. Who says professional footballers don't want to win? Waht idiots. Too all those who mock the Carling Cup, it's ours for 12 months. Come and get it.

We're in Europe again. We still have the small matter of PSV in the last 16, but who, who, would bet against Juande Ramos and the Tottenham Army now!

COYS!
